Frequently Asked Questions

What forms of payment do you accept?

We are going cashless and token-less! To keep payments as contactless as possible, this year we will only accept credit card or La Union Maze gift cards at all internal locations. We will have one admission window and info window where cash will be accepted and gift cards can be purchased.

What is your inclement weather policy?

In the case of inclement weather, we only offer rain checks if your visit was less than 2 hours. We may close or delay opening if inclement weather persists for more than 30 minutes. Depending on the condition of the grounds, some or all attractions may close. We will also post on our social media pages should we need to close for the day or delay opening. If you do not redeem your tickets, we can reschedule them for another day. Please note that under our terms and conditions, "All sales are final. No refunds or returns. Farm hours and operating days are subject to change without notice due to weather or other reasons. In the event of inclement weather, La Union Maze may close attractions without notice."

Are pets allowed?

Pets are NOT allowed at La Union Maze, the only exception being service dogs.

Don't worry we also love our pets, so every last Sunday of the season we have our annual Bring Your Dog to the Maze Day! Shot records are required. Please pick up after your dog. Dogs MUST stay on a leash.

When can I avoid the large crowds?

The best time to visit the Maze is opening weekend. The busiest weekends include the three weekends in the middle of October (aka Peak Days). The first and last weekend of October are not as busy.

Tip: To expedite the paying process please have your payment ready when arriving to the ticket window. Please keep in mind how many are in your party and if you are paying for general admission (ages 6+), toddlers (ages 2-5), seniors, active military, and if you need Haunted Maze tickets. You can also purchase your tickets online.

Daytime activities begin shortly after opening to around sunset or 6pm only. These activities include:

**Not included in the entrance fee: The Pony Rides and The Pallet Haunted Maze are not included in your entrance fee. The Haunted Pallet Maze is not for the faint of heart. It is only open Friday and Saturday nights during the month of October. There is an additional $12 + tax.

How much is the Haunted Pallet Maze?

Tickets for the Haunted Maze can be purchased for an additional $12 + tax. The haunting begins the first weekend of October and ends the last weekend of October. It is only operated on Friday and Saturday nights until 9pm. We recommend the Haunted Maze for ages 10 and up, but parent discretion is advised. You can purchase tickets at the Ticket Booth and Gift Shop.

What should I wear?

September and early October tend to be warm, but it does get chilly at night in the upper valley. So make sure to layer with a sweater or light jacket. We do recommend comfortable shoes (no high heels- you'll get stuck in the mud), clothes that you do not mind getting dirty, and a hat or umbrella for shade. Don't forget to bundle up the little ones for those cold nights in the late part of October and early November! FYI our rainy season ends in late September and on days that it does rain it may change our hours of operation. Feel free to call 915-549-1323 or check out our social media on Facebook or Instagram to see if hours have changed. Bring insect repellant as well! We have some available for sale, but we don't mind if you bring your own!

How many discounts can I apply towards my entrance fee?

We have different ways to save when purchasing an entrance ticket. You can find discounts on our maze flyer or in a newspaper ad (What's Up, El Paso Scene, Spot Light, El Diario). The coupon can only be used in person and must be presented when purchasing your ticket. One coupon/discount per family, $1 off per person. Can't be combined with any other offers/discounts.

How long does it take to walk the maze?

Our beautiful lush 10 acre maze can be a challenge, but that is the fun of it! It can take from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. We do provide maps and numbered posts to guide you. If you do feel lost you can find a Corn Cop for assistance.

We want to keep the maze in great shape for everyone to enjoy so please follow the rules posted at the entrances. Please respect the maze and give others the opportunity to enjoy it. Also any breaking of those rules can get you thrown out. Thank you for your cooperation!

Is the maze wheelchair and/or stroller friendly?

Strollers and wheelchairs do better after we have been open for a couple of weeks. The ground becomes more compact due to all the traffic, making it easier to navigate strollers and wheelchairs. There is a wheelchair lift available for the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch. Please let an employee know if you require one.

What should I do I have lost something there?

Report your missing items to the ticket office as soon as you notice they are missing. La Union Maze is not responsible for any items lost or stolen. Please keep your items secure. Losing your items might spoil the fun, so take some precautions by locking your car doors, hiding items, and being aware of your personal belongings.

Can I bring my own food, snacks, and drinks?

Sorry, no outside food or drink is allowed. Food and drinks are available to purchase from our concessions stand, gift shop, and food stands.

What if I just want to buy pumpkins and not enter the maze?

We are so sorry, but we do not allow visitors to enter the pumpkin patch without an entrance ticket during the weekend. Please feel free to come during the week to purchase from our stand (sorry, we do not offer rides to the pumpkin patch during the week). We have over 30 varieties of pumpkins. Pumpkins are sold by the pound.

What can I do to not get thrown out of the maze?

The La Union Maze is all about family fun and we pride ourselves in keeping that enjoyment, so our guidelines follow that motto. The following ways can lead to you and/or your group being thrown out of the maze:

-Sneaking in without paying.

-Destroying or vandalizing the maze, pumpkins, or other property.

-Harassing, hurting, or disrupting our farm animals.

-Being inebriated or intoxicated.

-Acting unruly, criminally, with malice, or being aggressive and disrespectful to other patrons or employees. Individuals behaving badly will be reported to on-duty security officers, and asked to leave the premises. If there are no police officers on duty, a police patrol may be called. Legal charges may be filed depending on the nature of violations.

What is La Union Maze's position on possible contraction of COVID-10 by anyone attending the maze?

La Union Maze is not responsible for any claims of COVID-19 contractions. Visit at your own risk. Masks are not required, but are welcomed.
